Seen very briefly and in the dark, this BIGIATURE was made by a team
at EVOLTION FX for WWII docu-drama
'Murder on the Homefront'
This is the set up on stage but it was a lot darker in the show,
so you could hardly see anything.
Neil and Peter made the basic bones of this |
Cant beat a bit of destruction of a miniature..well,
its being built in, but it has to look like it was done afterwards.
thats the trick. |
Made the frames, Then used a hammer on some 1.5mm perspex
to make shards of glass |
I had a smashing time working on this model. I think
this side was quite naturalistic. |
Neil Damman made the cabinet and I did my naturalistic
thing with the glass....I think. |
Printed face off the internet and a rim turned and stained, then
some broken 'glass'
Lots of boxes and crates I made for dressing. This is
more or less everything I made for the shop |
Gasmasks were probably my finest pieces, alas, unseen.
I encorperated sliced EMA tube to keep the eye sockets perfectly round.
I turned the filter from plastic wood...or Uriol. |
The first one almost finished. Black latex laid inside
a silicon mould I made of the original. Extra styrene rings I added
afterwards |
5 masks finished and ready for boxing up. |
Printed boxes, with the genuine text of the day, grabbed
off the net, inside. |
An old fashioned Mannequin for a shop redressing for
another shot. to be moulded and cast for multiples. |
Made stands too and some sewing machine cases. |
