Hover TAXI

Made mostly for fun, but always with the hope that some budding film-maker needs an Armoured Hover Taxi for their low-budget Sci-Fi.

Scratch built from FOAMEX and Styrene, with a few select widgets on the underside and even a couple of found objects, this was totally ad-libbed (ie. no drawings).Two mounting points and easy access to the battery via a magnetised panel.Style and colour scheme heavily influenced by the hardware in the movie MOON.

Meant for relatively short hops to nearby moons and space-stations (if your story has them), it has three types of engine. Ion main engines, anti-gravity and conventional Vertical thrusters for travel in atmosphere. It steers in space using the anti-gravity units, which can use planets. All powered by a small fusion reactor on its back.

Many facebook followers really liked the Taxi and invested time in compositing it into a background, with varying degrees of photoshop effects. Thanks guys!
