Very 'ISH' | With only a side drawing I made this pattern essentially from Foamex. It has a bit of a Pulse -rifle (from Aliens) feel about it. Shame it wasnt some form of regulation firearm and seen more often. I should be grateful that it was seen at all.The Heroine kills an alien with it at the end of the film.
Reverse logic | I knew the gun was going to be cast, but I sprayed it anyway to give it the finished look. Funny how on the actual gun, they reversed the colours and the rings. CLICK THIS LINK TO SEE A FEATURETTE
Pod races | We all chipped in with ideas for the pod designs..you can tell which is mine - its the roughest...only spent a couple of hours on it. Thats my excuse and Im sticking to it.from left to right, designs belong to...John Lee, yours truly, Christine Overs and Alan Brannan.Even our Vinny drew up a design, but never made a maquette. In the end, they (the art dept) used their own design...something simpler that was easier to render with CGI methinks.
Method in the madness | A side view of my little pod maquette. The two lumps lower down on the front were supposed to hint at the preditors knees and theres some detail to hint at the shoulders, implying that there was indeed a humanoid of some kind inside.
