Replicas and Kits

REPLICAS .... Quite often, fans are unable to buy a kit of their favourite movie model, or one which is the size that they want, so there is always a need for whats known as 'garage' kits. With blueprints not always available, the only references will be stills taken from the film. Often, clear side or plan views just don't exist, leaving foreshortened perspective shots to interpret. Luckily, most classic films now exist on DVD, where the crystal clear freeze-frame facility makes this a little easier. Also, there can be discrepancies between models(if more than one scale was filmed)making the task of pleasing the discerning fans even harder.
