Deep thought Provided with Alans body section and Chris's frame, I set about carving the head and arms and re-carving the base, getting the whole assembly together, then fibre-glassing it. It then went off to the other workshop for texturing
Deep ...and heavy? The strange object on stage. Not my work reflecting the light back into the camera though..not quite the same buzz as doing the finished surface and paintjob. I know those guys wouldnt have had anything to attach detail to if it wasnt for the basic structure. This is what they call a team effort. I think I have the right to include it in my folio though. Supposed to be made out of gold!
You can see it and it can see you. . A close up section of the eye. Chris trice Sorted the eye mechanism and I did the panel..not to a drawing mind...just the general feel of the panelling...to follow what the panels actually do around the eye to the letter, would have taken much much longer than the two days (I think) it took me. At least it ended up in the film!
lemme give you a hand close up section of deep thoughts hand in brown foam
not goldfinger - goldhand! the basic paintjob, before being carted off to the stage for finishing
